What can you expect from one of our properties? Needs differ: what works for one person may not work for another. We have a design guide which we go through with our landlords - whether it’s a new build home or refurbishing an existing property. Where a renter has specific extra requirements, we work with you to facilitate you putting these in place. It’s simpler if you have responsibility for your personal equipment - for example, ceiling track hoists. But we’ll make the process easy. Then we can settle into enjoying a positive tenant / landlord relationship.
A key thing for you finding a property is knowing that you can
go online at 3am (sure, why not, because that’s when it suits
you to do your property research) and see all the information you need to make a decision about whether it’s suitable to view or reserve.
Enough of phoning estate agents who don’t understand what you’re telling them, already!
From experience, there’s a world of difference between a property that is workable and one that is suitable. Three years ago, I moved into a well designed property. Only then did I fully appreciate the extent of the underlying stress, discomfort and frustrations that I had absorbed and, worse, normalised in previous homes. Before, I’d considered myself lucky that I had somewhere which vaguely worked. Now, each time I visit a parent or friend, and cook or do the washing up or use the loo or have a piggyback to get in, I realise the extent of joy in my own home.
